Everybody aims to make the right choice at the moment of deciding – even if that choice turns out to be the wrong one milliseconds later. While the burden of such failures is somewhat lifted from our human shoulders by the rise of non-human agents (who can decide for us), and while there are areas where tireless AI systems have better judgment than us, the question that I explore remains: do we need better decisions or do we benefit more from learning from bad ones?
